Assistant Instructors

Dawn Mendoza – Shodan
I’d always had an interest  in martial arts but had never been able to study it when I was younger and thought I was too old to learn.  How wrong I was!  I became inspired by watching other adults learning Karate and finally took up the journey in middle age.  I received my black belt in 2019 and there is still so much more to learn!  Karate continues to expand my horizons and I enjoy the opportunity to share this art with my fellow karateka.

Kenny Hamann – Shodan
Hello, My name is Kenny.  I first started training in Karate when I was six years old in Penngrove.  In 2018, I started training with Karen in Petaluma, and in 2020 I earned my 1st degree lack Belt.  For me Karate brings out my meditative side, and when training physically, I also train mentally and build a better mind and body.  I really enjoy being an assistant in the dojo,as well as learning how to better practice Karate.
